Bo, Torolf and I went on a sight-seeing trip to Pompeii. Unfortunately, the guide was not very good and he kept losing people. It was also very commercial and we were left for half an hour in the shop before we even started. (I thought it was ‘exit through the gift-shop’.) While we were walking round it started to bucket down with rain, though we eventually managed to find shelter. At least it wasn’t cold. It is a wonderful place…
The family met-up in Rome and we spent the day sightseeing. A day cannot be enough in Rome, there is so much to see. We did manage to see some of it and took in the most famous sights. The next morning we went on board the ship and set sail. Mediterranean Cruise – 10 & 11 October 2012
October 2012 I had never been on a cruise before so, when I was offered a free Celebrity Mediterranean Cruise with my family from Norway, I jumped at the chance. The ship was named Celebrity Silhouette and it was enormous, being able to carry nearly 5,000 passengers and crew. It would be best described as a giant floating shopping mall and hotel combined.
